COOL LINKS
A selection of some useful links to downloads as well as Music blogger sites and cool places we visit on the wiggedy wiggedy wah wah interweb for inspiration!
COOL LINKS TO SITES WE LOVE and TRUST
ARTROCKER Is probably our favourite music site - see what you think. They also publish a fantastic magazine called, surprisingly enough ARTROCKER MAGAZINE. They even have their very own WIKIPEDIA entry! Follow the Artrocker guys on TWITTER and keep up to date with their exploits and uncovering brand new talent on the UK music scene.
One of our "over-indulgences" here at FUZZY FM is a certain OTT desire to listen to old 7" Punk Rock singles! Well Killed By Death Records serves these up as Mp3's by the bucketload along with quality images and short reviews. These are true hidden gems - not your usual fare! So hop on over and pluck a few of these gems off their blog. (But, of course, stay tuned in to FuzzyFM). Bloody marvelous!
There's a wonderful potted history of every Independent Record label HERE on the Artrocker inspired BLOG NOISE LOOP
CLUB FANDANGO is a great site to catch up on "what's going on" in and around London, UK. If you're looking to go see a good band in London tonight, pop on over to THE FLY for their gig list. You wont regret it!
MUSIC BLOGGER SITES
We are becoming fans of the long running music blog RAVEN SINGS THE BLUES which hosts some very interesting mp3's and other cool stuff.
Stateside, the biggest (but not necessarily the best, nudge nudge, wink wink) sites are STEREOGUM and PITCHFORK.
If you're searching for mp3's by up-and-coming artists or that elusive hard-to-find must-have tune try searching on ELBO.WS or the ever-wonderful HYPE MACHINE both of which take the hard work out of searching music related blogs - especially those with links to mp3's. Yummy.
If you like your Independent music very "out there" and "left field" It would do you no harm to scoot on over to FOXY DIGITALIS. At first glance the site is complicated, but persevere and you will open up a whole new world!
I think LOST BANDS OF THE NEW WAVE ERA is pretty much "lost". What a shame!
